KDP measures in points. A 5.5 in page exported as 396.85 pt instead of 396 gets sent back.
Fonts are not embedded
Every font in the interior PDF has to be embedded. One missing font is enough.

What counts is resolution at printed size, not the pixel count of the file.
The spine width is guessed
Spine is page count times the paper figure. Nothing added, nothing rounded up.
